Owner & Heart Behind Elumea

Andrea’s journey with lighting began unexpectedly in 2007, just one month after moving to Victoria from London, Ontario. Armed with a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario and simply looking for a job, she stepped into the world of lighting—and never looked back.

What started as a practical need quickly grew into a deep passion for bringing light—literally and figuratively—into people’s lives. From learning the ropes on day one, stepping into Outside Sales and becoming Sales Manager, Andrea eventually took on ownership of the store in 2013.

In 2025, she launched Elumea Lighting Co., a brand born out of her desire to create something uniquely local—something that reflects not just what we do, but how we make people feel. It’s about lighting up homes and hearts. From the way people feel when they walk through our doors, to the way they feel in their own spaces, Andrea believes light can change everything.

Behind the scenes, she works hard to keep the business running smoothly while also cultivating a fun, welcoming environment—for her team and for every client who visits. Her goal? To make Elumea a place filled with warmth, laughter, and a lot of light.

Showroom Manager & Steady Spark

Josh joined the team back in 2010, starting out in the warehouse before eventually making his way to the sales floor—and he’s been lighting up the showroom ever since. Over the years, he’s become an irreplaceable part of Elumea, known not just for his depth of lighting knowledge, but for the way he brings joy and energy to every day.

Now as our Showroom Manager, Josh combines hands-on experience from job sites and product installs with a natural ability to listen, learn, and lead. Whether he’s helping a customer find the perfect fixture, keeping the showroom beautifully organized, or jumping in wherever needed, Josh does it all with a smile and a lot of heart.

He’s the kind of person who makes everything better just by being there—dependable, hard-working, and always aiming to please. Around here, he’s our steady hand, our current events specialist, and honestly, the reason we all feel a little younger at the end of a long day.

Fun Facts:
Despite being a Millennial, Josh and technology do not get along. He also owns a movie collection that would have rivalled Blockbuster—seriously.

Account Manager & Project Powerhouse

We’re truly lucky to have Randy on the Elumea team. With decades of experience and a calm, steady presence, Randy is the go-to for large-scale projects—from multi-unit residential builds to commercial developments and everything in between.

He works closely with contractors, electricians, and designers, managing complex lighting plans with precision and care. If it needs coordination, clarity, or an eagle eye on the details, Randy’s already on it. His wealth of knowledge spans every side of the lighting industry, and it shows—he’s respected across the city for a reason.

A master of the big picture and the fine print, Randy makes sure projects run smoothly from beginning to end. He’s one of the hardest working, most self-managed people you’ll ever meet, and we’re better every day because he’s part of our team.

Lighting Consultant & Solutions Specialist

There are great team members—and then there’s Chad. One of the hardest working, most wonderful humans you will ever meet, Chad shows up every day with a can-do spirit, a calm presence, and a sense of humour that keeps the rest of us grounded (and giggling).

With experience across almost every part of the business—from managing the warehouse to supporting tech systems to helping clients find the perfect fit—Chad is the kind of guy you can count on for anything. He’s full of ideas to make things run more smoothly, more efficiently, and with a lot more fun along the way.

Clients love him. We trust him with everything. And honestly, we’re all still waiting to see what brilliant idea—or hilarious dead pan joke—he’ll come up with next.

A true sponge for knowledge, he has an incredible gift for absorbing lighting details at a pace that leaves the rest of us in awe. Whether it’s a challenging space, a unique fixture request, or a client with a very specific vision, Phil will go above and beyond to find the perfect solution.

He brings his kindness, curiosity, and quiet excitement to work every single day. Clients feel it. We feel it. And it makes Elumea a brighter place in every sense of the word.

Jon is the heartbeat of our back end—the kind of person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks and everything gets exactly where it needs to go. His attention to detail is unmatched, his pride in his work shines through in everything he does, and his ability to elevate our customer service is something we’re grateful for daily.

But Jon brings more than just precision and hustle to Elumea. He’s a genuine, caring soul who can talk with anyone about anything. Whether it’s football, history, or far-off places, Jon has a story and a smile that makes every conversation richer.

Jon has also traveled the world more than once—and brings that global curiosity and insight into every interaction and conversation. His steady presence, sharp mind, and incredible work ethic set a high bar for us all. When it comes down to it, Jon is irreplaceable in the Elumea world on every level.
